Founder and
Artistic Director
Melissa Pratama, ARAD, RDTS
is the founder of Kemang Dance Center. She has more than ten years of experience in teaching ballet and is a registered ballet teacher at Royal Academy of Dance, London.
She has been passionate with ballet since her early years, joining her first ballet class when she was only five years old. Throughout the years she has completed her Royal Academy of Dance Vocational Graded Examination as well as her Australian Teachers of Dancing Advance Technical Examination.
After her accomplishment as a ballet dancer, she embraced the challenge of becoming a ballet teacher in 2004 and began to teach in several dance schools as well as international schools in Jakarta.

Ballet Teacher
Terin Tanadi, ARAD
It's never too late to start ballet! Terin is an adult ballerina who began her ballet journey at the age of 18, she has cultivated a deep passion and dedication to the art form, inspired by her sister. She has since achieved the Royal Academy of Dance Advanced 2 certification and continues to develop her teaching expertise as a Year 1 student in the Royal Academy of Dance Certificate in Dance Teaching (CDT) Programme.

Alongside her dance career, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Kwik Kian Gie School of Business, demonstrating a strong academic foundation.

She is also a certified Pilates instructor, specializing in training dancers to develop proper alignment, strength, and posture - supporting both performanve quality and injury prevention.
​
She began teaching ballet in 2015 and has since gained experience teaching at various ballet schools and leading extracurricular ballet programs in several international schools.
Since joining Kemang Dance Center in 2016, she has been actively teaching students from Pre-School Dance level through to Advanced 1, nurturing young dancers with both discipline and passion.

Ballet Teacher
Jennifer Thian
Jennifer start doing ballet since she was 4 years old at Aurora Ballet.
Eventhough at first she was force by her mother to join ballet class because of her bad posture, But as time goes by she become someone who really love and enthusiast about ballet.
Besides completed her Advance 1 level in Royal Academy of Dance, UK in 2021, she also
holds a bachelor degree in accounting from Atma Jaya University.
Since 2014, She is a teacher at Lirista Ballet School and start teaching at Kemang Dance Center from 2018 until present. She also teach ballet in several international school such as Global Sevilla School and Pelangi Kasih.
Now she still continue her last Vocatinational Grade in RAD Curicullum.

Ballet Teacher
Beatrix El Eveny
started learning ballet when she was 10 years old. After taking part in many performances, she decided to progress to teaching. In 2011 she started teaching ballet at BBDS (Brenda Ballet and Dance School) and several schools in Jakarta. She has completed her intermediate level in Royal Academy of Dance, UK.

K-Pop Dance Teacher
Juliet Magdalena
With a wide experience in the dance industry, Juliet is a creative and talented dancer who has been falling in love with dancing since she was 4 years old.
She has performed and presented Indonesia in the International K-Pop dance cover events such as K-Pop Festival in Gangwon, South Korea in 2013. At her early career stage, she joined Jakarta Broadway Team in 2008.
Afterwards, she has been teaching hip hop and K-Pop dance at some prestigious dance schools and international schools in Jakarta as a dance instructor.

Hip Hop Instructor
Peter Gloriano Kaihena
is a talented, dedicated and passionate dancer and choreographer. He holds a bachelor degree in Sports Coaching from Jakarta State University, and also a Black Belt 2nd DAN Taekwondo.
He has started to teach hip hop dance at some well-known sports centers in Jakarta such as Celebrity Fitness, Gold’s Gym and Fitness Center since 2005. He has been assigned as a personal choreographer for several famous actresses and singers in Indonesia and teaching hip hop dance for children and teenagers at several international schools in Jakarta.

Taekwondo Sabeum
Rizkia Septiani
Coach specializing in kids training. Enthusiastic instructor with a focus on building self-confidence, character, and skill in students through mental and physical discipline. Encouraging, yet challenging approach allows all participants to progress at their own level by setting and achieving individual goals.
Authentic dedication to the art and sport of Taekwondo. She started learning taekwondo when she was 10 years old, in Genettic Club Central Java and then she moved to Jakarta.
In 2018, she started teaching Taekwondo at Kaboet Halim club, North Jakarta Intercultural School, SPH Kemang School, and several schools in Jakarta. She holds a bachelor degree in English Education, Indraprasta PGRI university and, also a 2nd degree Black Belt Kukkiwon Korea.

Elisa Caroline Soewardi
Elisa began her journey at Kemang Dance Center (KDC) in 2017 as part of the backstage team, contributing in costume, makeup, and social media. Inspired by the dedication and artistry behind every performance, she began her ballet training in 2019 at the age of 27 as an adult beginner.

Through commitment, discipline, and passion, she progressed steadily in her training and has successfully passed the Intermediate and Advanced Foundation examinations of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), and is currently training at the Advanced 1 level.
​
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Kwik Kian Gie School of Business and is also a certified Pilates Instructor teaching at KDC x Body Gravity Pilates Studio. By integrating strength, posture, and body awareness into her classes, she supports her students in building both grace and resilience.

Her journey from backstage crew to performer and teacher reflects her belief that it is never too late to begin.

Administrator
Barry Febriand
was thrilled to join Kemang Dance Center in November 2012. As an administrator, he is the first person to meet and ask about dance classes schedule. He currently manages daily tasks of running the center such as administrative tasks and maintaining center supplies. He also supports the standards and procedures to ensure all dance classes run properly and provides good communication to students and parents.
